We’re grateful for those who give of their time, talent and energy to benefit of Seminary Hill Farm and help MTSO’s pursue its goal of restoring a campus rich with native plants. Thank you for considering how you might volunteer in either or both of the capacities below.
Farm volunteer
Our farm volunteers help with all daily operations of Seminary Hill Farm, including seeding, planting, cultivating and harvesting of crops, which we offer through our CSA, donate to nonprofits serving food-insecure communities and serve in MTSO’s dining hall. If you have an interest in one aspect of the farm or a special project (such as the children’s garden or establishing vermicomposting), we will collaborate to focus your time toward your interests. Once trained, you may work alone or with a team according to your preference.
Land stewardship volunteer
Our land stewardship volunteers assist in our work removing honeysuckle throughout the MTSO campus woodlands, establishing prairie plantings, caring for our native landscape and aquatic plants, and restoring riparian zones.
When can I volunteer?
We have volunteer hours every Wednesday afternoon, on the second Saturday of each month (beginning in June) and on special occasions. To learn more about scheduled volunteer hours, see volunteer events:
